We’ve all been there before, a really great music festival lineup is announced, but you can’t bear to leave your doggo at home for the day while you go and have fun without them.
Don’t worry, we get it, we’re overbearing parents too.
That’s why a few years ago we teamed up with the good people at One Little Indian to organise Melbourne’s first ever dog-friendly music festival.
Since then, we’ve held an awesome event every year where people can sink beers, eat awesome food and listen to great tunes with their dogs by their side.
But that’s not even the best bit. It’s not just any music festival, it’s a festival that gives back. This year Dogapalooza is in its fourth year, and since we have started we have raised a whopping $50,233 for rescue dogs, farm sanctuaries and wildlife shelters.
All proceeds from the event are split between Oscar’s Law to help us end puppy factories, as well as a range of sanctuaries and rescue groups we work with throughout the year or who align with what we stand for. Many of the groups that receive a donation take on the dogs we rescue or have surrendered to us from puppy factories.
On the day, you can come along and meet us and the rescue groups we’re fundraising for to find out more about us, and even grab yourself some rescue dog merchandise!
